It is one of the most common friction points in online gaming: you want to play, but your friend won't install something. With Playboard, there is nothing to install. The games run in the browser. You send a link. They click it. The game opens. No app store, no download, no account creation, no tutorial.

This makes Playboard the easiest answer when someone says yes to playing a game but no to installing anything.

You're on your phone, they're on a laptop

It doesn't matter what device either of you is using. Playboard games run on any modern browser — desktop Chrome, mobile Safari, Firefox, Edge. One player can be on a phone, the other on a laptop, and the game works the same for both.

There are no compatibility questions to answer. Send the link. Whoever receives it, they open it, and they're in.

One link is enough for the whole session

After a match ends, the lobby reappears automatically. Both players are still in the room. One player suggests a different game — Checkers after Connect Four, or Gin Rummy after Battleship — and the other accepts. A new match starts in the same room.

There's no need to send a new link or create a new room between games. You share one link at the start of the session and that's it. Everything else — game selection, rematches, switching between different games — happens inside the room without any extra steps.
