Playboard.gg is a free browser-based board game platform. We collect as little data as possible and only load analytics tools after you give your consent.

What we collect
When you browse Playboard.gg we may collect anonymous pageviews and in-game events (e.g. game started, game finished) along with a randomly-generated anonymous identifier. If you are signed in, we also store your gameplay history so you can review past games. We do not collect names, email addresses, or any other personal information beyond what you explicitly provide during account registration.
Analytics (PostHog)
We use PostHog for product analytics. PostHog is hosted in the EU and processes data in accordance with GDPR. The PostHog script is only loaded after you click "Accept" on the cookie consent banner. Session recordings are enabled with full input masking — keystrokes and form fields are never captured.
Cookies and storage
We store a single key, pb:consent, in your browser's localStorage to remember your cookie preference. A short-lived guest session token is stored in a secure, HTTP-only cookie to keep you connected between page loads. No third-party tracking cookies are set before you give your consent.
Your rights
You can revoke or change your consent at any time using the "Cookie preferences" link in the page footer. For GDPR-style data requests (access, deletion, or correction), please reach out via the channels listed on our site and we will respond within 30 days.
